Chris Brown Is Allegedly A Mess

In case you haven't heard, this has been kind of a bad week for Chris Brown so far. He assaulted a guy outside of a hotel, got arrested, and there's a pretty darn good chance that the whole thing will be declared a violation of the probation he's on for beating up Rihanna ... it's just not looking so great for Chris. And allegedly, things are a whole lot worse than even that mess, if you can believe it.
A source close to Chris spoke with E! News, and a whole, whole bunch of things were said. Here's the (alleged!) gist:
"He's a good kid, but he keeps messing up. He needs help. He keeps self-medicating with weed and alcohol and that's when he always gets in trouble. No one is making excuses for Chris. No one is condoning what he has done. But what people don't realize is how bad it's gotten for him. He has all this money and success and he keeps apologizing, but he continues to be one of the most hated people in the business. He gets depressed and then self-medicates. He has a lot of yes-people around him who don't want to help. They just want the money and want to have a good time."
Also, you know how during that whole assault over the weekend, he reportedly threw around some gay slurs? This source explains that "he's not anti-gay at all," just "politically incorrect." Yeah, OK.
Look, Chris obviously has some problems, but he's not the victim in this. He's violent, clearly, and sure, he's apologized, but he's never once been remotely sincere about it. People don't hate him specifically for that time he assaulted Rihanna, even though that's enough, they hate him for that and for the way he reacted to the backlash, the way he speaks about it in interviews, and for every other time that he hurt people, either with his fists or his stupid words.
Maybe just try harder next time, Chris. Try harder to not be violent and hateful. It really shouldn't be that hard.
